We are approaching the glorious 35th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The years that have passed, especially the decade from 2016 to 2026, have been marked in our nation’s history as a period of profound transformation, large-scale development, and bold steps from national revival toward national progress.

The wide-ranging reforms implemented under the leadership of our esteemed President have brought prosperity, confidence, and new opportunities to every corner of Baliqchi District, reaching every household and family.

A new era has also begun in the sphere of spirituality and enlightenment, which serves as the foundation of social development. Based on Presidential Resolution No. PQ-5040 of March 26, 2021, the activities of the District Council for Spirituality and Enlightenment were fundamentally improved. In 2025 alone, 513 major spiritual and educational events were organized in the district, reaching a total of 164,085 residents, including 45,000 young people.

In accordance with the instructions of the Head of State, the modern “Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment,” commissioned in Baliqchi District in 2023, has become a genuine center of knowledge, culture, and enlightenment for local residents.

During the first six months of 2026, the District Council for Spirituality and Enlightenment consistently carried out systematic activities aimed at strengthening a healthy spiritual environment in society, enhancing educational awareness among the population, and improving the effectiveness of upbringing and education.

In particular, according to the approved annual work plan, two Council meetings were held, during which the state of the district’s social and spiritual environment, the effectiveness of ongoing spiritual and educational activities, and existing challenges were comprehensively reviewed through critical analysis.

The “Political Enlightenment Hour” is regularly organized in more than 100 enterprises, organizations, and institutions across Baliqchi District.

These spiritual and educational activities contribute to strengthening a healthy social environment, increasing citizens’ political awareness and civic engagement, fostering patriotism, and enhancing legal literacy and spiritual resilience.

To date, a total of 720 Political Enlightenment Hour sessions have been conducted, with nearly 10,800 employees actively participating. During these events, participants expanded their knowledge of statehood, national ideology, spirituality, social stability, and educational approaches to addressing contemporary challenges.

Spiritual and educational events dedicated to national heritage, traditions, and customs were held under themes such as “National Heritage – A Great Blessing,” “The Legacy of Our Ancestors – Our Path Today,” “Echoes of History,” “The Heritage of the Homeland – The Goal of Future Generations,” “Traditions as a School of Upbringing,” “National Traditions Days,” “National Dress Day,” “School of National Values,” “National Identity in Our Daily Life,” “Family and Tradition – A Strong Identity,” “Wedding and Ceremony Culture,” “Traditions in Our Homes,” the “Path of Ancestors” excursion, “National Dress Exhibition,” and “Youth and National Traditions.”

A total of 3,623 residents participated in these activities, including 2,106 young people, more than 1,300 women, 412 elderly citizens, 175 entrepreneurs, and 66 spirituality promoters.

Numerous book presentations were organized by the Baliqchi District Division of the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment.

Among them, the presentation of the book “Dance on the Embers” by the renowned poet Guljamol Asqarova left a strong impression on literature enthusiasts in the district.

The educational project “Crisis and Reading” was conducted in the form of an open dialogue with young people, with the participation of J. Abdurayimov, Chairman of the District Council for Spirituality and Enlightenment, and the head of the district division of the Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment.

Furthermore, at the initiative of J. Abdurayimov, under the slogan “One Book Every Week,” approximately 10,000 young people were encouraged to engage in reading through the “Zakovat” intellectual competition held for the District Governor’s Cup under the theme “Journey Abroad.”

Entrepreneur M. Rashidova opened a bookstore in the “Markaz” Mahalla Citizens’ Assembly, offering a collection of more than 8,000 works of fiction.

Within the framework of the “Cinema Caravan” project, screenings of films dedicated to the memory of national heroes and devoted patriots are being organized in educational institutions and all 66 mahallas of the district.

During the past six months, 120 outreach and educational events were conducted, contributing to the strengthening of young people’s spiritual resilience, fostering active, responsible, and united citizens, protecting them from harmful influences, and nurturing a generation with a healthy worldview.

A total of 35,754 residents, representatives of partner organizations, intellectuals, and enlightenment advocates participated in these activities.

In order to strengthen the spiritual environment in local communities, discuss issues of family upbringing and moral education, make use of the experience of elders in educating youth, increase the social activity of women, and address family-related challenges, a total of 70 outreach events were organized under themes such as “Key Principles of Successful Family Upbringing,” “Methods of Developing Moral Values in Children,” “The Role of Women in Society and Increasing Their Participation,” “Strengthening Traditions of Solidarity and Good Neighborliness,” “The Experience of Elders as a School of Guidance for Youth,” and “Enlightenment Against Ignorance.” These events were attended by 4,350 residents.

To ensure the implementation of Resolution No. 589 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated September 16, 2025, a joint action program was developed together with partner organizations to strengthen awareness-raising activities, and the “Maromiylik Marathon” headquarters was established.

On April 27, within the framework of the “Maromiylik” project, a seminar-training session entitled “The Role of Government and Public Organizations in Regulating Weddings and Ceremonies” was held at the district Department of Culture for civil servants and representatives of the social sector. The event brought together 132 participants, including deputy district governors, representatives of family and women’s committees, enlightenment promoters, religious organizations, the “Nuroniy” Foundation, community activists, and bloggers.

In addition, banners promoting the “Maromiylik” initiative were installed in public places and wedding venues, while more than 300 flyers and informational booklets were distributed among the population.

During the first six months of the year, a total of 70 outreach events were held in 66 mahalla citizens’ assemblies, 26 organizations, 10 enterprises, and 61 educational institutions, reaching 3,250 residents.

We are celebrating the 35th anniversary of our nation’s independence with remarkable achievements and significant accomplishments. In this historic era of irreversible reforms, our common slogan and goal remain clear: “One Homeland, One Nation — Together We Will Build a New Life and a Bright Future!”
