The Uzcosmos Space Research and Technology Agency, together with the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change, warns all land users of our country through a special appeal.
Every year, thousands of cases of illegal burning of straw and weeds on land plots cleared of grain crops are detected in the Republic. This leads to such disastrous consequences as a decrease in the fertility of thousands of hectares of high-yield lands, disruption of the soil structure, loss of useful macro- and microelements in the soil, a sharp drop in the quality scores of sown areas.
Imagine that when burning grain stalks on 1 hectare of land, 500 grams of nitrogen oxide, 379 grams of hydrocarbons, 3 kg of ash, 20 kg of carbon monoxide and carbon monoxide are emitted into the atmosphere. This is dangerous, since in addition to polluting clean air, it can cause tuberculosis and cancer in the human body.
Dear land users!
We kindly ask and urge you all not to allow such illegal actions.
For this violation, a fine of up to 10 basic calculation units is provided for in accordance with Part 3 of Article 88 of the Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Administrative Responsibility, as well as the application of economic measures in accordance with the current procedure for damage caused to each hectare of grain crop areas damaged by fire.
Moreover, such cases indicate failure to fulfill obligations to comply with environmental requirements and environmental protection rules when using and protecting land allocated to farms, as provided for in Articles 40 and 79 of the Land Code, as well as Article 17 of the Law "On Farming."
In this regard, we would like to remind "enterprising" farmers and entrepreneurs that cases related to the illegal burning of straw and its remains on a national scale are monitored daily by the Uzbekcosmos Space Research and Technology Agency using satellite images. The data obtained is promptly provided to law enforcement agencies.
Be careful, refrain from causing any kind of damage to agricultural land, which is one of the most valuable resources of our country. All processes are under control.
We ask our compatriots who have witnessed such negative situations to call the hotline of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change at 1207.
