"Uzcosmos" and "Uzum" support creative projects of young engineers!

In order to further increase the interest of Uzbek youth in technology, engineering, robotics, innovation and astronautics, as well as to support their ideas, initiatives and projects in this area, the Republican competition "Young Engineer" was organized with the support of the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National Digital Ecosystem "Uzum". In this competition, which started this year, 133 teams of schoolchildren and students aged 12 to 20 presented about 150 engineering developments that help solve everyday or social problems. Of these, 28 projects, selected as the most worthy, reached the final. On May 10 of this year, the final of the "Young Engineer" competition was held at the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In it, 28 strongest teams selected from all over the country competed for victory.




The engineering developments of young people were assessed by a jury, which included experts from the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Uzcosmos agency, the Uzum National Digital Ecosystem and the Turin Polytechnic University.





The projects were assessed according to the following criteria:
1. Creative, innovative approach
2. Practical implementation of the project
3. Scientific validity of the project
4. Social and environmental significance of the project
5. Quality of the project presentation













According to the results of the final competition "Young Engineer", the following teams became winners:
1st place: Abubakr Rafukzhonov, 6th grade student of the private school "Iqro Academy" in Andijan, Andijan region. Project name: "Robot-teacher";

2nd place: Islomjon Tolahujaev, student of secondary school No. 11, Parkent district, Tashkent region. The project is called "Firefighter robot".

3rd place: Alexey Kremer and Safiya Ganieva, students of the private school "Sekhryo" in Tashkent. The project is called BioAI - a health assistant using artificial intelligence.

The main prize – the Grand Prix of the competition – in the nomination “The Most Creative Project” was awarded to the project “Smart House” by students of school No. 307 in Tashkent city Javdat Khudanov and student of private school “Millat Umidi” Samandar Khudanov, as well as the project “Clear Orbit” by student of private school “Sekhriyo” in Tashkent city Amir Saipov. The winners received a trip to the International Space Center “Guhem” – the largest in Europe and one of the top five in the world.
