NASA Space Apps hackathon results announced

As previously mentioned, on October 7-8 of this year, the NASA Space Apps hackathon was held in Tashkent, organized by the Uzbekkosmos Agency under the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the aim of strengthening cooperation between space agencies in the aerospace sector and searching for new talents among young specialists.
According to the results of the hackathon, the winners were determined and advanced to the final stage:
PhD – Azizbek Muminov (web application for monitoring seismic activity on the lunar surface using open datasets and NASA APIs)
WEDUST – Edem Kimalov, Mirodil Mirobidov, Jaloliddin Mahmudov, Malik Ibragimov, Sergey Yermolov (prediction and monitoring of geomagnetic storms in protecting critical Earth systems from space weather using DSCOVR data)
Typhoon – Javlon Yakhsilikov, Diyorbek Jabborov (demonstration of a universal system for forecasting fire spread using open data using forest fires, satellite imagery, and machine learning).
The developments of the teams that reached the final stage will be sent to NASA for evaluation.
The following teams were also recognized and awarded with certificates of honor:
SalenX – Abdulhamd Nuriddinov, Solikha Sadieva, Muslima Anvarova
Topline – Alina Mambetullaeva, Khurliman Aymuratova, Elena Kenesbaeva
Melange – Shahzoda Yokubova, Anastasia Filipenko, Mahbuba Shaynazarova, Kristen Rashidova.
