As we reported earlier, there are currently many cases of illegal burning of straw stubble and other organic residues in fields cleared of cereal crops. As a result of observations carried out within the framework of the State Space Monitoring Program of the Uzcosmos agency, it turned out that to date in 10 regions of the republic, 5,350 hectares of land have been illegally burned in 639 such negative cases.
The space analysis is distributed by region as follows:
In the Tashkent region, 27 cases on 413.5 hectares;
In the Syrdarya region, 32 cases on 341.9 hectares;
In the Jizzakh region, 7 cases on 74.9 hectares;
In the Bukhara region, 16 cases on 96.3 hectares;
In the Andijan region, 248 cases on 2,345.7 hectares;
In the Fergana region, 13 cases on 66.2 hectares;
In the Namangan region, 3 cases per 36.7 hectares;
In the Surkhandarya region, 253 cases per 1823 hectares;
In the Khorezm region, 31 cases per 99.5 hectares;
In the Republic of Karakalpakstan, 9 cases per 52 hectares.

Operational information on these situations has been sent to the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change, as well as other relevant agencies.

Attempts to quickly and inexpensively destroy areas cleared of grain crops entail the imposition of fines in the amount of up to 10 basic calculation units in accordance with Part 3 of Article 88 of the Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Administrative Liability.
In the event of significant damage, this may even lead to criminal liability.
We remind you that the Uzcosmos agency monitors these situations daily using satellite images.
