Uzcosmos Agency strengthens strategic cooperation with the Chinese space ecosystem and international organizations

The agency's management held a series of meetings with partner organizations as part of the China Space Day 2026 international forum.
Negotiations were held with representatives of the China National Space Administration (CNSA), the Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization (APSCO), the Roscosmos State Corporation, and Star.Vision, CGWIC, CASC, and CAST.
During the meetings, the implementation of major and systemic projects in the space industry, the development and launch of satellites, and the expansion of scientific research activities were discussed.
Special attention was paid to the prospects for creating a national constellation of Earth remote sensing satellites.
Furthermore, preparations for the Samarqand 2028 satellite project, developed by the Chinese company Star.Vision and scheduled for launch in May of this year, were discussed, as well as the integration of an artificial intelligence module, being developed by the Uzbek side, into this satellite.
Potential for expanding cooperation with leading Chinese higher education institutions was also explored, including the launch of joint educational programs, scientific exchanges, and internships.
The meetings were aimed at implementing promising projects in Uzbekistan's space industry, taking cooperation to a new level, and strengthening national space potential.
