Under the auspices of the Agency for Space Research and Technology under the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the international conference "Space Technology Conference – Central Eurasia 2026" (STC 2026) will be held in Tashkent from March 30 to April 1. This conference is the largest platform for dialogue on space technology in the Central Eurasian region.
This year, the conference celebrates its fifth anniversary. Previously, it was held in Tashkent in 2022–2023, in Ankara in 2024, and in Baku in 2025. This year, Uzbekistan will once again host the event. Holding the conference in Tashkent symbolizes the strengthening of space cooperation and industrial integration in the region.
STC 2026 will bring together key players in the space industry not only from Central Eurasia but also from around the world—space agencies, companies, research centers, and investors. The platform will create favorable conditions for expanding global cooperation in the space sector, sharing best practices, and establishing new business ties.
One of the main focuses of the conference will be strengthening space integration between the countries of Central Eurasia and resource sharing. This demonstrates the growing strategic cooperation in the region in areas such as space technology, satellite systems, Earth remote sensing, satellite communications, and space monitoring.
The conference also aims to strengthen Uzbekistan's position as one of the leading space technology centers in Central Eurasia. At the event, the Uzbekcosmos Agency will present the Strategy for the Development of Uzbekistan's Space Industry until 2030 to the international community and showcase the country's investment and technological potential to international partners.
More than 400 delegates from over 40 countries, representing over 150 organizations, are expected to participate in the conference, further underscoring its global significance.
The STC 2026 program will be extensive and cover a variety of topics. Specifically, the plenary sessions and presentations will focus on the topic "Shaping the Future of Space in Central Eurasia," which will focus on the future of the region's space industry and its strategic prospects. During roundtables, representatives of participating countries will present and discuss their national space strategies.
Why is STC 2026 so important?
This platform opens up new opportunities for strengthening global cooperation.
