In recent years, space technologies have become a key area of global geoeconomic competition. Satellite communication systems, Earth remote sensing, space monitoring, and innovative research missions are gaining importance not only for developed countries but also for nations actively pursuing technological modernization. Against this backdrop, Uzbekistan is consistently expanding its space diplomacy and international cooperation, strengthening its participation in the global space sector.
The participation of the Uzcosmos delegation in the Dubai Airshow 2025, held November 16–21 in Dubai, was an important step in this direction. This forum is one of the most prestigious international events, bringing together leading players in the aviation industry, space technology, and defense every two years. Given rapid technological progress, the space industry was the focus of the exhibition.

The delegation's first meeting was with Salem Butti Al Qubaisi, Director General of the UAE Space Agency. The parties discussed expanding cooperation in the development of satellites and their components, scientific and technical projects, exchange of experience, and space diplomacy. Today, the UAE—thanks to initiatives such as MBRSC, the UAE Space Agency, and the Emirates Mars Mission—has become one of the region's leading space centers, holding a special place for Uzbekistan as a strategic partner.

During a visit to the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC), Uzcosmos representatives learned about satellite design, remote sensing data processing, space mission implementation, and the high-tech startup ecosystem. Following the talks, the parties agreed to draft an agreement on joint projects in scientific and technological fields.

During the exhibition, the Uzcosmos delegation met with the American companies VAST Space and Axiom Space. VAST Space is a leader in the development of next-generation commercial orbital stations and is developing artificial gravity solutions for the Haven-1 and Haven-2 modules. Axiom Space is one of the world's leading companies in commercial human spaceflight and astronaut training, and is currently building the first private orbital station, Axiom Station. The meetings discussed opportunities for technology transfer, personnel training, and joint research.
Negotiations with the Japanese company Terra Drone were also fruitful. The parties discussed the creation of a joint venture to use agrodrones for precision farming, aerial chemical treatment, and agricultural monitoring.

The meetings held during the Dubai Airshow 2025 once again confirmed Uzbekistan's commitment to actively developing space technologies and taking international scientific and technical cooperation to a new level. Integration into the global space ecosystem, mastering advanced technologies, and launching new joint projects are expected to significantly strengthen the country's potential in this area.
