During the event, District Hokim Sherali Qosimov and Chairman of the Regional Council of Veteran Combatants Husniddin Jamolov delivered remarks and expressed their sincere wishes to the participants.
A total of 266 young men from Turaqo‘rg‘on district took part in the Afghan war. At the initiative of the esteemed President, the status of Afghan war participants has been equated with that of World War II veterans, and various benefits have been granted to them. Our district veterans actively participate in local celebrations and events, helping to instill in the younger generation the values of preserving peace and growing into достойных sons of the Motherland.
During the event, the most active participants were presented with letters of appreciation and commemorative gifts. A festive table was arranged in their honor, along with artistic performances by the district cultural department and demonstration performances by school students.
