Participants of the 6th International Central Asian Women Farmers Forum Visited Ancient Axsikent

Among the destinations visited was the Axsikent Archaeological Park, which boasts a history of over 3,000 years. The guests were informed that since 2017, special attention has been given to the site at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Although archaeological excavations and research have been ongoing for nearly 150 years, the site has gained significant international recognition over the past three years. Large-scale construction and improvement works are currently underway, and major projects are being implemented to transform the banks of the Syr Darya River into an eco-tourism destination.
Visitors also became acquainted with the ancient artifacts discovered at the site, the museum under construction, and other newly developed facilities.
