Kokand Celebrates 21 October — the Day Uzbek Was Granted State Language Status

Speaking at the ceremony, Kokand Mayor Marufjon Usmonov highlighted the reforms undertaken at the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan to raise the prestige and importance of the Uzbek language and to study and promote the legacy of the great historical figures who made significant contributions to its development. The mayor extended his warm congratulations to everyone on the occasion.
During the celebration, city residents who have achieved outstanding results through dedicated work in various fields were presented with letters of appreciation from the Mayor of Kokand and awards of various distinctions.
Songs, musical performances, theatrical scenes and artistic presentations celebrating national values created a festive atmosphere for those gathered.
