Celebrations dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan are taking place in Kokand.
At the festive event held at Urda Square, Kokand Mayor Marufjon Usmonov extended his sincere congratulations to all compatriots and spoke about the large-scale reforms being implemented in all spheres in the country and the city under the leadership of the President of Uzbekistan, as well as the goals and objectives being pursued together with the entire nation to build a New Uzbekistan and a New Kokand.
The National Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan was performed at the square, where hundreds of city residents had gathered, marking the start of the concert programme.
