Kokand Public Transport to Reach Outlying Areas

A new project is being developed in Kokand to further improve public transport services, increase convenience for passengers, and enhance transportation connectivity.
Under the project, public transport services are planned to reach even the most remote areas located up to 12 kilometers from the city. The main objective is to prevent traffic congestion on Kokand’s roads and improve the quality and standard of public transport services provided to residents.
The Mayor of Kokand discussed with responsible officials the mechanisms for implementing the new project, the locations of bus stations, and issues related to the buses that will operate the routes.
Officials were instructed to coordinate the proposals with relevant agencies and develop the project to a level that is convenient and affordable for the population.
