According to the plan, modern multi‑storey parking facilities will be built around the “Kokand Trade Complex,” “Farobiy Trade Complex,” and other major commercial areas. In addition, disorganized parking lots, illegal cash collections, and unauthorized taxi stands will be removed.
Special attention is being given to pedestrian safety: a proposal has been noted to construct an underground passage between the “Kokand Trade Complex” and the “Great Silk Road Trade Complex.” Furthermore, new bus stops will be established on adjacent streets, existing ones restored, and bus traffic strictly regulated.
The instructions also include ending illegal street trading, clearing pedestrian walkways, updating road signs, and ensuring the regular operation of traffic lights.
Trade complexes will also see enhanced fire safety and sanitation measures, an increase in surveillance cameras, and the establishment of a “Situation Center” to fully digitize the areas.
These measures aim to create a more convenient, safe, and orderly environment for residents of Kokand city.
