During the event, the country’s initiatives to support women’s entrepreneurship and to promote traditional Uzbek fabrics and clothing were highlighted.
At the historic Orda Square, the venue of the International Handicrafts Festival, collections by Madinakhon Tursunkhodjayeva, founder of the Kokand Fashion Center, and talented independent designers trained at the center were showcased to the audience.
The brand “Qo‘qon gullari” presented a traditional flower-based hair styling technique, which received much admiration.
At the end, Khalida Khafizovna Kamilova, Vice-Rector of the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry and Chairwoman of the Uzbekistan Designers Association “Osiyo ramzi,” together with Kokand mayor Marufjon Usmonov, ceremonially awarded letters of appreciation and souvenirs to designers and specialists who contributed greatly to the success of the exhibition.
