As part of “Youth Day” events, a sports competition was held at Sports School No. 2, attended by the mayor of Kokand, who engaged in dialogue with young people. Thanks to the initiatives of the country’s leader, these Paralympic contests provide opportunities for youth with disabilities to showcase their abilities and pursue their aspirations.
This year, more than 500 Paralympic athletes from the city will have the chance to participate in competitions. The mayor wished the participants success and victories, expressing confidence that the games will help strengthen values such as friendship and tolerance.
The mayor also met with close relatives of young people with disabilities and assigned tasks to officials to address the issues raised in their appeals.
