A new mahalla stadium has been inaugurated in Kokand city.

On Thursday, declared Youth Day at the initiative of the country’s leader, a ceremonial opening of the stadium was held. The event was attended by Adxamjon Ziyavitdinov, head of the Fergana regional branch of the Uzbekistan Mahalla Association, and Kokand mayor Marufjon Usmonov.
During discussions with residents and youth, it was emphasized that the “Open Budget” system, introduced by the head of state, enables citizens to raise their issues and solve them using budget funds. Confidence was expressed that the new sports facility will nurture champions who will raise the flag of our nation high.
It was also highlighted that the mahalla football team has already achieved strong results in inter‑mahalla competitions, delighting its fans. The team is coached by a specialist who himself grew up in the same mahalla.
The new stadium will now serve sports fans, ambitious youth, and the elderly, promoting a healthy lifestyle and the development of mass sports.
