Chinese Investors to Participate in the Development of Historical Sites in Kokand

During negotiations between the hokim (mayor) of Kokand and representatives of Shanxay Foreign Trade and Economic Construction Group, issues were discussed regarding the creation of a unified tourist service complex around the Palace of Khudoyar Khan and the Jami Complex.
The project envisions the reconstruction of historical monuments using modern solutions while preserving their historical uniqueness, as well as the construction of hotels and service facilities.
As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached to develop a tourism-oriented complex project at Urda Square and in the Old City, with the use of local raw materials, similar to construction on Zarkaynar Street in the Almazar district of Tashkent. Proposals will also be prepared to enhance the tourist appeal of the Jami Complex and Urda Square.
The project will be overseen by the Deputy Hokim of Kokand, Head of the Department of Investments, Industry and Trade, Aibek Mingbayev.
