Agreements on this matter were reached during negotiations between the university administration and the mayor of Kokand several weeks ago. During today's meeting, specific mechanisms for implementing these agreements, the number of volunteers participating in the project, and the project's scope were discussed.
The volunteers will visit residents like family doctors and examine each family, taking into account their predisposition to disease and teaching them about healthy lifestyles (healthy eating, physical activity, avoiding unhealthy habits, maintaining personal hygiene, stress management, and maintaining a healthy weight), disease prevention, and reproductive health.
They will help people with chronic illnesses manage their illnesses, detect diseases such as cancer, diabetes, stroke, and heart attack early, and prevent serious complications.
