62nd International Flower Festival

More than 2.5 million guests are expected to visit the 62nd festival. The event was organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism together with the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Khokimiyat of Namangan region.

It is worth noting that the festival will last two weeks for the second time in its history (this year the last week of May and the first ten days of June).

In 2022, the festival was attended by guests from more than 30 foreign countries, this year guests from more than 40 countries are expected. It is planned that representatives of the diplomatic corps, officials of the regions and sister cities of Namangan, foreign heads of joint ventures will take part in them.

In addition, the geography of flower growers participating in the festival has expanded: last year flower growers from South Korea, India participated in the exhibition, and this year flower growers from Germany, India, Poland, South Korea, Kyrgyzstan and Italy.

In addition, it is planned to plant 15 million flowers and seedlings in the park of culture and recreation named after Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur in Namangan, where the festival will be held, and 10 million flowers and seedlings on the streets of the city, a total of 25 million. Also, the streets of the city are decorated with various forms.

It should be noted that at present there are 25 hotels, 9 hostels, 526 family guest houses, 6 hostels, 18 sanatoriums and 4 resorts in Namangan region that can accommodate more than 8.5 thousand guests. And on the eve of the festival, 5 more hotels will be launched.

At the same time, a group of volunteers is formed in the amount of 80 people to serve the guests of the festival. Young people who have mastered foreign languages will be provided with wonderful maps and booklets of the city.

It is expected that the cultural program of the festival will be rich and interesting. In particular, performances by poets and writers, circus performers, Uzbek pop stars and folklore ensembles will be shown on stages installed in the Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur park and the Valley of Legends theme park.

At the end of the festival, florists and enterprises-organizations that worthily took part in the event will be awarded in several categories.
