The state’s attention to these educational links, which are the basis for forming personality, is constantly growing. Every year, new educational institutions are built, the potential of specialists increases, textbooks and teaching aids are updated in accordance with modern requirements.
Preschool education is moving to a new stage of development, relying on advanced foreign experience. In recent years, the number of kindergartens has increased 8 times, reaching 38 thousand, and the coverage of preschool education has increased from 27 percent to 76 percent.
The development of school education in the country has acquired a nationwide character. Over the past seven years, construction and repair work has been carried out in more than 5 thousand schools, of which 608 this year. For the first time, inclusive education has been introduced in 530 schools.
The Minister of Preschool and School Education reported on further plans.
It was noted that over 100 schools will be organized next year, 257 thousand student places will be opened. State educational programs will be brought into line with international requirements. The number of schools teaching a second foreign language will increase to 420, with vocational training to 400.
Advanced international experience and modern methods are being introduced into practice. In particular, this year a new assessment system was introduced in 1.5 thousand comprehensive schools. Considering the results of the analysis, it is planned to expand to more schools next year.
A digital system has been introduced when assigning qualification categories to teachers. Now, teachers who successfully upgrade their category will receive an increase of up to 70 percent of their salary, depending on the points they score.
The Head of state emphasized the need to improve the procedure for conducting qualification exams, create healthy competition, and ensure equal conditions for all teachers.
For this purpose, the regional centers for advanced training will change their curricula starting next year. A differentiated system of advanced training will be implemented for each teacher. Teachers who have not passed the qualification tests will undergo additional training under a separate program. Five centers for pedagogical excellence of a modern format will begin operating in the regions. All centers will be equipped with equipment for situational training and virtual laboratories.
To attract qualified managers to educational organizations and support their activities, it is proposed to establish material incentives for school and kindergarten directors and their deputies from additional sources.
The issue of harmony between the educational and upbringing processes will be a priority. According to the resolution of the President of Uzbekistan of November 15 this year, increased attention has been paid to the system of initial pre-conscription training of schoolchildren. In high school, the number of hours for military-patriotic education has been increased, and to strengthen the prestige of teachers in this area, a procedure for assigning them military ranks has been introduced.
Before the start of the next school year, it is planned to prepare new textbooks on these subjects and attract teachers with a high level of professionalism. Together with the Ministry of Defense, Schools of Courage will be created in 208 educational institutions, where teenagers with problematic behavior will also study.
Another important document was adopted on September 30 this year to improve preschool education’s quality and effectiveness. In accordance with this, the position of deputy director of preschool educational organizations will be introduced in 2025. New formats for advanced training will also be introduced, such as Methodological Mastery Hour and Methodological Mastery Day.
Next year, it is planned to build 162 preschool educational institutions and open 100 private kindergartens and 1 thousand family kindergartens, which will increase the coverage of preschool education to 78 percent. The connectivity of the curricula of preschool preparation groups and primary grades will be strengthened.
The President instructed the systematic development of the sphere in all regions and improving the quality of general education with a special emphasis on remote areas.
