The delegation of Fergana region visited Sun Moon University in Chungcheongnam-do province

As part of an official visit to South Korea, a delegation from the Fergana region, led by Governor Khayrullo Bozorov, visited Sun Moon University in Chungcheongnam-do Province.
The visit began with a meeting with the university president, Moon Sung Jae. During the warm and cordial discussions, it was noted that cooperation in education between Uzbekistan, particularly the Fergana region, and South Korea continues to expand significantly.
Sun Moon University currently hosts 9,205 students across undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs, with 12% of its student body comprising international students. Among them, 261 students hail from Uzbekistan. The university offers distance education and international exchange programs and has partnerships with 117 universities in 37 countries.
Since 2022, nearly 300 students from Fergana International University have studied at Sun Moon University through the 3+1 program.
Governor Bozorov also met with Fergana students studying at the university, accompanied by Alisher Abdusalomov, Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to South Korea.
During the meeting, the governor emphasized the importance of education and becoming knowledgeable, skilled professionals, highlighting the dedication of Uzbek youth to these goals. He remarked on the growing number of Uzbek students enrolling in prestigious universities abroad and expressed confidence in their role as builders of a prosperous New Uzbekistan, driven by patriotism, strong values, and adherence to national traditions. He wished the students success in their academic pursuits.
The students also shared heartfelt words during the interaction, reflecting their gratitude and aspirations.
