The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Malaysia, Karomiddin Gadoev.
The parties discussed the development of mutually beneficial bilateral relations, the expansion of interregional cooperation, and the implementation of joint projects in promising areas.
Khayrullo Bozorov noted that relations between Uzbekistan and Malaysia have reached a new level thanks to the friendly ties between the heads of state, shared aspirations for development, and common values. It was also emphasized that Selangor’s advanced experience is of great importance for strengthening interregional cooperation.
Particular attention during the talks was paid to establishing sister-region relations, enhancing business contacts, expanding investment cooperation, implementing joint projects, and exchanging experience.
Proposals were put forward to develop cooperation in priority areas such as IT, electronics and semiconductor industries, innovative manufacturing, smart agriculture, green energy, logistics, and pilgrimage tourism.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to implement joint initiatives aimed at strengthening friendly and economic relations between the Fergana Region and the State of Selangor, as well as to develop a “road map”.
Background: Selangor is one of the most developed and industrialized states of Malaysia, located in the western part of the Malay Peninsula. It accounts for a significant share of the country’s GDP and is one of its key economic hubs. The state has highly developed industries such as electronics, pharmaceuticals, food production, and semiconductor manufacturing.
