Areas of Cooperation Discussed with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Uzbekistan

A meeting was held between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Uzbekistan, Walid Fouque, and the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Jamshid Kuchkarov.

During the dialogue, the parties discussed the development of bilateral socio-economic cooperation, the promotion of new mutually beneficial initiatives, and the formation of promising joint projects.
In particular, the discussions focused on the following key areas:
- cooperating on the development of transport infrastructure and the public transport system, and introducing modern and sustainable transport solutions;
- developing municipal infrastructure through wastewater management and the improvement of the water supply system;
- developing healthcare infrastructure, expanding the coverage and improving the quality of modern medical services;
- implementing environmental projects aimed at afforestation and the expansion of green areas.
The parties also exchanged views on attracting advanced experience and technologies, expanding private sector participation, and making effective use of public-private partnership mechanisms.
At the conclusion of the negotiations, the parties agreed to expand mutually beneficial cooperative ties and to broaden the process of exchanging views on the aforementioned issues.
