In recent years, as a result of the creative work carried out in our country with the aim of developing the construction of residential areas, social facilities, updating the engineering, communication and road transport infrastructure, the modern architectural appearance of cities and rural settlements is radically changing.
On September 11, 2023, the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. RP-299 “On measures to further improve the public administration system in the field of urban planning and approval of programs for the development of urban planning documentation for settlements in 2023-2027” was signed.
On December 24, 2024, Resolution No. 880 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On approval of the general plan of the city of Tashkent for the period up to 2045” was adopted
Work has been systematically carried out in the country to provide the population with high-quality drinking water, to build and reconstruct water supply and sewerage networks.
In particular, in order to improve the system of state regulation, management and operation of drinking water supply and sewerage facilities, a joint stock company "Uzsuvtaminot" was created, uniting regional water supply enterprises.
Sufficient funds are allocated from the republican budget, state trust funds and local budgets, as well as international financial institutions for the modernization of drinking water supply and sewerage systems under the Obod kishlok and Obod mahalla programs.
According to the National Statistics Committee, in January-August 2025, the volume of construction work performed in the Republic of Uzbekistan amounted to more than 188 trillion soums, which is more than 111% compared to the corresponding period of 2024.
Construction work in the Republic of Uzbekistan for the specified period was distributed by types of economic activity as follows:
- The share of construction of buildings and structures exceeded 68%, which is more than 103% compared to 2024.
- The share of construction of civil facilities was recorded at 21.0% and, compared to 2024, amounted to more than 125%;
- The share of specialized construction work exceeded 10% and, compared to 2024, amounted to more than 154%.
