Today, on October 14, the opening ceremony of one of the largest exercises of the Ministry of defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan took place within the framework of military cooperation — the Regional Joint exercise "Birlik – 2025".
It is worth noting that in recent years, Uzbekistan has made significant progress in the field of international military cooperation. A number of agreements have been reached with various countries in areas such as the exchange of modern knowledge and experience, expansion of partnerships in military and military-technical spheres, joint exercises, and regional security.
As emphasized during the event, the main goal of these exercises is to strengthen mutual trust between the participating countries, enhance military cooperation, and develop close partnerships amid growing geopolitical tensions, global crises, and the emergence of new threats and challenges.
In particular, as part of the Regional Joint exercise “Birlik – 2025”, participants will carry out joint combat training tasks using the most effective methods of warfare based on modern combat practices. They will employ artillery, unmanned aerial vehicles, armored vehicles, and other weapons capable of accurately striking targets at long distances.
Additionally, the participants will engage in combat training using advanced methods and techniques of military art, take part in various competitions, and visit the ancient city of Samarkand, where they will learn about the rich historical and cultural heritage, customs, and traditions of the Uzbek people.
Furthermore, Samarkand will host the first meeting of the Ministers of Defense of the Central Asian countries and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
