Speaking at the official opening ceremony of the festival, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Major-general Shukhrat Khalmukhammedov, congratulated all participants on the start of the second edition of this festival, and expressed his gratitude to entrepreneurs making a valuable contribution to strengthening the country's defense capability.

It should be noted that in recent years, under the leadership of the President of our country and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, large-scale work has been carried out to fundamentally transform the appearance of the national army, widely introduce innovative ideas and technologies into the military sphere, and efficiently organize research and development initiatives.

Uzbekistan has rapidly carried out significant reforms in the modern defense industry. New factories and enterprises have been built, modern technologies and equipment purchased, and existing military factories modernized. The defense and technical sectors have established cooperation with nearly 50 countries and signed contracts with more than 30 leading foreign companies. Partnerships with 40 domestic enterprises have also been established. The range of products produced has reached 155 types, and the volume of services provided has increased 2.5 times.

To test innovative ideas in practice, generate youth interest in modern technologies, attract young specialists to engineering fields, and guide domestic enterprises and organizations toward the defense industry, the festival of innovative defense technologies has been held for the second consecutive year at the “Victory Park” memorial complex.

Within the framework of this year's festival, modern types of weaponry and military equipment, defense industry robotics, chemical technologies, mining and metallurgical products, and dual-use items will be showcased.

Additionally, the exhibition will host business negotiations in a B2B format with participating companies. Among young people, competitions will be held in areas such as esports, “Best Hacker,” “Programming”, “3D modeling technologies”, “Robot battles”, “Unmanned aerial vehicle design”, “Rocket modeling”, “Drone racing”, and “Futuristic transportation robotics”.

For young people interested in programming and robotics, this festival will become a first step towards realizing their own ideas and further developing knowledge in these fields.

Talented young individuals and citizens selected through these events will be given broad opportunities to implement their developments at enterprises and factories in the defense industry and to find employment.

It is expected that the exhibition and competitions scheduled as part of the "MSITF–2025" festival will take place in an atmosphere of mutual respect, healthy competition, and genuine patriotism, filled with bright and memorable moments.

The "MSITF–2025" events will be held from May 29 to June 1.
