Military delegation of the Republic of Hungary visits Uzbekistan

At the bilateral meeting held at the central office of the Ministry of defense, major general Shukhrat Khalmukhammedov welcomed the members of the delegation on their visit to Uzbekistan and noted that the ongoing cooperation between Uzbekistan and Hungary in various fields contributes to further strengthening bilateral ties.
During the meeting with the head of the delegation, issues such as the unity of the fraternal peoples, the current state and prospects for the development of defense cooperation between Uzbekistan and Hungary, as well as regional security matters, were discussed.
Following the official meeting, the Hungarian military delegation led by Minister Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky visited the “Victory Park” memorial complex, where they laid flowers at the “Ode to Resilience” monument accompanied by the Honor Guard. The guests also viewed the exhibits of the State Museum of Honor and Glory and other memorial sites within the complex.
As part of the visit, a flower-laying ceremony will be held at the Botkino city cemetery at the memorial dedicated to Hungarian soldiers who died in World War I.
The guests will then familiarize themselves with the infrastructure and educational facilities of the Academy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Visits to the Center for Innovative Technologies and the “Chimgan” Training center are also planned.
The official visit of the Hungarian military delegation, led by Minister of Defense Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky, will conclude with a tour of the historical landmarks of Samarkand.
