Tashkent Hosts World Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Championship

The capital’s sports complex, "Humo Arena," is hosting the World Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Championship for adults and youth aged 18 to 21 and above. The event is organized in collaboration with the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation, the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Sports, the Tashkent city administration, the Mixed Martial Arts Association of Uzbekistan, and the security forces of Uzbekistan.

Approximately 800 athletes from 70 countries are participating in the competition, which is being held for the first time in Uzbekistan. Yesterday, November 5, the qualifying rounds in all weight categories concluded.

The second day of intense and fierce competition is currently underway. According to the organizers, 33 members of our team will enter the octagon today. It is noteworthy that 15 athletes from the Ministry of Defense Sports Center are competing as part of the Uzbekistan national team.

The official opening ceremony of the Championship at "Humo Arena" and the final fights will take place on November 9 this year.
