Young people make a solemn pledge at the foot of the Sahibqiron monument

The event was attended by representatives of military-patriotic educational institutions operating within 16 general secondary schools across the region, the students’ parents and relatives, as well as relevant officials.
Speakers at the ceremony emphasized that being a student of a “School of courage” is a great honor that also carries the responsibility of setting an example for one’s peers. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of the pledge as a sacred oath to the Motherland, the people, the President, and one’s parents.
To enrich school libraries, the organizers presented each student with a special set of books. The students then recited the “Solemn Pledge” in the presence of all ceremony participants.
The artistic programme was also rich and engaging. The military band of the Karshi Garrison performed musical pieces and songs. The Honour guard unit gave a demonstration involving weapons. A display of combat techniques incorporating elements of hand-to-hand combat helped foster the students’ interest in a military career. Performers from the regional cultural centre brought the figure of Amir Temur to life on stage.
During the event, the defenders of the Motherland set up several educational stations and presented an exhibition of weapons, military equipment, and gear. The students and their parents also received detailed answers to their questions from military specialists.
