The draft law aims to enhance the prestige and attractiveness of military service in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan, train qualified military personnel, and ensure the effective use of their potential.

The draft law proposes establishing a legal framework for concluding new contracts with graduates of higher military educational institutions in Uzbekistan and abroad who have specialized in aviation.

In addition, an amendment is proposed to reduce the compulsory military service period by one month for service members who achieve outstanding results in the national reading competition.

During the discussions, it was noted that this incentive would help promote reading and a culture of book appreciation among military personnel, while also enhancing their spiritual and intellectual development.

It was emphasized that the new provisions envisaged by the draft law would enable the effective utilization of highly qualified pilots’ professional expertise, put their years of training and experience to further use in the development of military aviation, and strengthen the professional capabilities of the Armed Forces.

Following the discussions, the draft law was adopted by the deputies at its first reading.
