Preventive measures to combat corruption held in Karshi

An event entitled “Corruption as a threat to security: lessons from the past and reforms in the country” was held at the Cultural palace of the district administration. During the event, military personnel were informed about the negative impact of corruption on national security, the authority of the Armed forces, and the stability of logistical support.
Representatives of the Ministry of Defence’s Internal control department for combating corruption, partner organizations, and law enforcement agencies took part in the event. Specialists provided recommendations on preventing conflicts of interest, ensuring the rational and transparent use of resources, and strictly adhering to the principles of integrity in the performance of official duties.
In addition, a preventive meeting on the same topic was held at one of the military units in Karshi, with the participation of military personnel and employees of the Armed Forces serving in the garrison. The meeting addressed the objectives, benefits, and legal framework of the internal control and compliance control systems in the field of combating corruption.
The events were conducted in the format of an open dialogue, during which military personnel asked questions of interest to them and received detailed answers from specialists.
In conclusion, it was emphasized that loyalty to military duty, strict observance of the law and principles of integrity, as well as an uncompromising attitude toward corruption are important responsibilities of every servicemember.
