The sniper team of the Ministry of defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan took part in this prestigious competition for the third time.
A total of 28 sniper teams from eight countries participated in the competition.
Participating countries:
Uzbekistan — 3 teams;
United Arab Emirates — 2 teams;
Socialist Republic of Vietnam — 3 teams;
Mongolia — 2 teams;
Republic of Türkiye — 1 team;
Kingdom of Cambodia — 1 team;
Republic of Kazakhstan — 1 team;
Republic of Korea — 15 teams.
Observer countries: Arab Republic of Egypt and Türkiye (Gendarmerie — military and law enforcement command).
The competition program consisted of 20 stages, featuring special tactical exercises conducted both during the day and at night. Participants were required to demonstrate a high level of proficiency in handling pistols, assault rifles and sniper weapons, engaging targets at various distances in urban, mountainous and forested terrain.
A distinctive feature of this year's competition was that none of the special shooting exercises repeated tasks from the previous year. At the same time, the conditions and rules of each exercise were not disclosed to participants until the exercise actually began. In addition, 40 percent of the targets were moving and aerial targets, including drones.
The main challenge of the competition was to test the snipers' ability to remain calm and composed in conditions close to combat situations, maintain concentration, demonstrate endurance, and perform exercises both during the day and at night under conditions of intense stress.
According to the results of the competition, the Uzbekistan national sniper team took first place among 13 foreign sniper teams.
1st place — Uzbekistan — 678.4 points
2nd place — Vietnam — 666.6 points
3rd place — Türkiye — 471.1 points
It should be recalled that the team of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan took second place at this prestigious competition in 2024 and won first place in 2025.
Tomorrow, September 11, a ceremonial reception for the competition winners will be held at Islam Karimov International airport.
