The event was attended by representatives of the regional khokimiyat, officials of the Eastern Military district, heads of state and public organizations, educators from educational institutions, as well as young people and schoolchildren. Participants laid wreaths and flowers at the foot of the monument to the great ancestor, expressing deep respect for his cherished memory.
Speakers emphasized Alisher Navoi’s invaluable contribution to the development of Uzbek literature, the native language, and national spirituality. It was noted that his ideas of knowledge and enlightenment, justice, humanism, and spiritual perfection continue to serve as a guiding compass for societal development today, inspiring the younger generation toward noble values.
The program continued on the square with literary and artistic performances. Creative youth and students recited excerpts from the poet’s ghazals and performed songs and musical compositions. The heartfelt verses and melodious tunes gave the audience an uplifted mood, spiritual enrichment, and inspiration.
The festive events continued at the Center of Spirituality and Enlightenment of the Eastern Military District with a cultural and educational program titled “Navoi’s heritage – a mirror of the nation’s spirituality.”
Participants explored the multifaceted life and творчество of the great poet, gaining a deeper understanding – through his wise works – of issues related to national identity, spirituality, and universal human values.
As part of the program, a drawing competition titled “The Image of Navoi through the eyes of youth” was organized, along with insightful lectures by specialists, poetry and music evenings, theatrical performances, and presentations by young authors, all of which left a strong impression on attendees.
Meetings and dialogues were also held to promote a culture of reading among young people, unlock their creative potential, and encourage broader engagement in the spiritual and educational sphere.
