Based on 27 documents adopted by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, 118 tasks have been assigned to the Agency this year, the deadline for which is October. To date, 113 of them have been fully completed, and the execution of the remaining 5 tasks is nearing completion.
Within the framework of the implementation of these instructions, a number of important changes have been implemented in the field of labor migration. One of the most important innovations was the radical improvement of legislation in the field of labor migration. In particular, amendments have been made to the Law "On Private Employment Agencies" simplifying the procedure for their licensing:
The amount of funds required for obtaining a license has been reduced from 8,500 to 4,000 times.
Private employment agencies now have the right to train citizens in foreign languages and professions, as well as to attract foreign employers.
Most importantly, the joint and several liability of the agency and the employer to the citizens sent under the contract has been established.
At the same time, a draft law "On Labor Migration" was developed and submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers.
Another innovation is the introduction of a number of financial benefits to support citizens. Now, citizens going to work in an organized manner will be allocated loans of up to 10 million soums for a period of 2 years. Foreign language teachers will receive a subsidy of 50 million soums.
A procedure has been established for compensating citizens traveling to labor migration for a "Work visa" - up to 5 times the basic calculated value, for qualification exams - up to 3 times, and for travel tickets - up to 2 times. The amount of insurance subsidies has been increased from 50,000 to 300,000 soums.
As a result, 2,042 citizens received insurance subsidies. Compensation has been allocated to 445 citizens. Of these, 248 were issued work visas, 192 were issued travel tickets, and 5 were issued for qualification exam expenses.
As a result of the targeted work carried out by the Migration Agency, the geography of labor migration is expanding. In particular, intergovernmental agreements were signed with such countries as Italy, France, and Kuwait, as well as cooperation agreements with 151 employers in 24 countries.
Training courses were organized with foreign organizations. The processes of employment of the population have been digitalized, and a system for online registration of contracts of private agencies has been introduced. Citizens have been given the opportunity to identify their identity through "One-ID," "Face-ID," "Mobile-ID."
The work carried out contributes to the safe, organized, and legal migration of citizens of our country, protecting their rights and interests.
