The charity campaign "Return to the Homeland" has ended

The Agency for Migration under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Committee for Family and Women, as well as diplomatic missions abroad, held a charity campaign "Return to the Homeland" from July 30 to August 30, 2024.
Within the framework of this campaign, legal assistance and consular support were provided to our citizens who found themselves in difficult situations abroad, and their return to the Homeland was ensured in safe and decent conditions.
At the event, special attention was paid to the issue of returning women and children to the Homeland. Over the past month, more than 3,400 appeals were received through the Agency's Call Center and the hotlines of diplomatic missions.
Also:
• more than 2,100 of our compatriots were provided with legal assistance in processing documents and returning from correctional institutions;
• 1,300 of our citizens were returned to their homeland, to their families, from 15 countries of the world.
In particular,
• From Russia - 993 people
• From Turkey - 106 people
• USA - 56 people
• From Kazakhstan - 39 people
• from Korea - 8 people
• from Armenia - 4 people
• From India, Japan, Poland and Belarus - 3 people each.
• From Egypt - 2 people
• 1 each from Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Saudi Arabia, and Azerbaijan.
The return of 654 women and 438 children who found themselves in difficult conditions abroad to their homeland was an important humanitarian initiative implemented by our country.
Also, 163 of our compatriots, who have been held in deportation centers of foreign countries for several months, were brought to Uzbekistan.
Currently, the agencies responsible for family and women's issues, as well as employment and social protection bodies, are carrying out appropriate measures for the reintegration of citizens returned from abroad.
For reference:These events will continue on the basis of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated September 18, 2024 No. 590/2 "On Additional Measures to Solve Problematic Issues of Uzbek Women in Difficult Life Situations in Foreign Countries."
In conclusion, it should be noted that the "Return to the Homeland" campaign is the result of state policy, which considers human dignity and civic responsibility as high values. These events once again demonstrated that the fate and safety of every citizen are at the center of state attention.
