The Representative Office of the Migration Agency in the Russian Federation conducted a review regarding a video circulated on social networks under the title “In Russia – this is how migrants are treated”.
It was determined that the incident occurred on January 7 of this year at a product pick-up point of the “Ozon” company located in the Ulyanovsk region of the Russian Federation.
According to the information available, an unidentified person made insults and threats toward the seller.
The situation has been taken under control by local law enforcement authorities, and a criminal case has been initiated against the offender under Article 119 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“threat of murder or causing serious bodily harm”).
It was also reported that the person shown in the video as the victim is not a citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
