🏛 The Financial Market Committee of the Russian State Duma recommended rejecting the draft law on limiting the amount of money sent abroad by foreign workers only to their official income in the first reading.
The committee deemed the draft fragmentary and lacking mechanisms due to its shortcomings (for example, the lack of monetary control and penalties).
• The government also did not support it, and the bill was said to lack clear mechanisms.
• Accordingly, new restrictions on money transfers are not yet being introduced - existing rules remain.
