About the Mission
The Republic of Uzbekistan became a member of the United Nations on 2 March 1992. The Permanent Mission of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the United Nations in New York facilitates cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United Nations system.
The Mission participates in the work of the UN General Assembly, the Security Council, ECOSOC and other principal UN bodies, while promoting Uzbekistan’s initiatives on sustainable development, regional security, counter-terrorism, human rights, climate change and water resources.
