About the Embassy
Diplomatic relations with the United States of America were established on February 19, 1992, and the first Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the United States was opened in February 1993.
The consular district of the diplomatic mission in Washington, D.C. includes the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia, as well as Cuba, Canada, and Brazil.
