On the Meeting of the Uzbek Delegation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkey

As part of the working visit of the Uzbek delegation to Ankara, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkey on October 27 of this year.
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs M. Aktaş emphasized that thanks to the efforts of the leaders of the two states, Uzbekistan and Turkey today maintain close relations, especially in the sphere of internal affairs.
During the meeting, the Turkish side stated that it would explore the possibility of granting work permits to citizens of Uzbekistan who entered Turkey under other visa categories, without requiring them to leave the country.
It was also expressed readiness to consider the introduction of electronic work visas for citizens of Uzbekistan, to jointly work on the creation of a unified electronic database on irregular migrants, as well as to consider signing a memorandum on cooperation between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the two countries in combating illegal migration and facilitating the return of citizens to their homeland.
