On October 21, 2025, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev held meeting with Deputy Director of the Department for Cooperation with the Countries of Central Asia and Eastern Europe of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Great Britain, Mark Kleyton.
During the meeting, the parties discussed key areas of bilateral cooperation in the political, diplomatic, and trade-economic spheres.
Drawing attention to the growing dynamics of bilateral contacts at various levels, the parties expressed mutual interest in bringing cooperation to a qualitatively new level.
The parties also discussed bilateral and multilateral cooperation on security and the Afghan settlement.
The meeting was held in a constructive spirit and confirmed mutual interest in further developing the practical dialogue between Uzbekistan and Great Britain.
