In Stockholm, a delegation of Uzbekistan headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Olimjon Abdullaev held a meeting with the Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Benjamin Dousa.
During the talks, the sides exchanged views on the current state and prospects of bilateral trade and economic relations. Both sides emphasized the positive dynamics in mutual trade over the past years.
The Minister noted that Swedish delegations visiting Uzbekistan this year returned with very positive impressions. Mr. Dousa underlined that thanks to the reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan and its open foreign policy – including efforts to promote regional cooperation in Central Asia and to develop partnerships with the European Union – the significance of Uzbekistan for Sweden continues to grow.
