Meeting held with U.S. State Department representatives

On May 29, 2025, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan, Ismatulla Irgashev, met with Mary Bischoping, U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of South and Central Asia for Afghanistan and the Office of Security and Transnational Affairs.
During the meeting, both sides discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation regarding Afghanistan and reaffirmed their shared interest in maintaining regular dialogue on the Afghan peace process.
They also exchanged views on key international and regional security matters, placing particular emphasis on strengthening collaboration in the fight against terrorism and extremism.
