On political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Uzbekistan and Belarus

On March 25, 2025, Tashkent hosted a round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Belarus.

The delegations were headed by Deputy Foreign Ministers Bobur Usmanov and Pavel Utyupin.

The sides discussed in detail the current state and prospects for the development of comprehensive cooperation in political, trade, economic and cultural spheres. The parties reviewed the progress in implementing the tasks outlined during the summit and high-level visits.

The sides noted with satisfaction active contacts at different levels, consistent growth of mutual trade, joint projects in priority industries.

The sides reaffirmed their common commitment to strengthening inter-parliamentary ties, expanding the legal framework of bilateral cooperation and enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation on multilateral platforms.

Special attention was paid to utilizing the existing potential in the spheres of trade, industrial cooperation, agriculture, tourism, education and healthcare.

In the framework of consultations, the parties agreed on the schedules of joint events planned for the current year, including the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission, interregional, business, educational and medical forums, as well as a number of cultural programmes.

An agreement was reached to continue close coordination within the Foreign Ministries in order to strengthen practical cooperation on a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda.
