Uzbekistan-Pakistani political consultations held in Tashkent

On February 5, 2025, Tashkent hosted the 8th round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
The delegations were led by the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhramjon Aloyev and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Syed Ali Asad Gilani.
The parties exchanged views on a broad agenda concerning Uzbek-Pakistani strategic relations and identified priority areas for the development of cooperation in the near future. Special attention was given to the schedule of upcoming high-level events.
Mutual interest in deepening cooperation in trade-economic, investment, and cultural-humanitarian spheres was confirmed. The parties agreed to take additional measures to increase bilateral trade volumes and implement joint projects in areas such as infrastructure, logistics, transport, agriculture, and other sectors.
The agenda of the negotiations also included issues related to improving the legal and contractual framework of bilateral relations and strengthening cooperation within multilateral structures.
