On September 17, 2026, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev met with Muhammad Mudassir Tipu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, the sides discussed current issues of Uzbekistan-Pakistan partnership, including further development of political dialogue, trade and economic cooperation, and regional connectivity.
The sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in maintaining regular contacts and jointly promoting initiatives aimed at strengthening stability, trust, and sustainable development in the region.
