On July 27, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov received copies of the credentials from Rashad Mammadov, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan.
Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan are bound by centuries-old ties of brotherhood, shared historical and cultural roots, as well as mutual respect. Thanks to the close relations between the Leaders of the two countries, built on a high level of trust, this solid foundation is today being enriched with new substance of strategic partnership and allied relations.
During the meeting, particular attention was paid to maintaining the high dynamics of political dialogue, expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation, as well as advancing joint projects in the fields of transport and logistics.
It was emphasized that Rashad Mammadov’s extensive diplomatic experience will contribute to further strengthening Uzbekistan–Azerbaijan allied relations and enriching cooperation with new practical outcomes.
