Youth policy
State youth policy in Uzbekistan is a system of measures aimed at creating conditions for the development of young people, promoting their active participation in public and political life and strengthening the positive image of young people in society.
The basic principles of State youth policy are:
- openness and transparency;
- participation of young people in the implementation of state youth policy;
- support and stimulation of youth initiatives;
- priority of spiritual, moral and cultural values;
- non-discrimination of young people.
Every young citizen is guaranteed rights and freedoms in accordance with the Constitution and the law.
The following are guaranteed to young people in accordance with the procedure established by law:
- free medical care;
- free general secondary and specialized secondary education;
- free vocational and higher education in State educational institutions within the limits of State grants;
- creation of conditions for attending State sports and recreational and cultural and educational institutions; and other.
