The international professional development programme for young specialists, organised through cooperation between the Agency for Innovative Development and the Committee on Family and Women, has been successfully completed. Participants from the first and second groups have returned to Uzbekistan after completing a 15-day training and practical internship in the Republic of Türkiye.
The programme aims to implement the tasks outlined by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan during the open dialogue with young people held on 30 June 2025, enhance the professional capacity of young specialists who have achieved strong results in working with women, and introduce them to advanced international practices.
During the internship, participants visited Istanbul Aydın University, the local government authorities of Küçükçekmece and Bağcılar districts, as well as institutions working in the field of social support for women and families. These visits provided an opportunity to gain first-hand insight into Türkiye's experience in these areas.
The training programme covered a wide range of topics, including promoting women's employment and entrepreneurship, providing targeted assistance to families, organising social services, preventing family conflicts and violence, and supporting young women's career development. Theoretical knowledge was reinforced through practical sessions, meetings with sector specialists and experience-sharing activities.
Particular attention was also given to the digitalisation of social services, data-driven management, assessing the effectiveness of support measures, and harnessing the potential of artificial intelligence. Participants explored international approaches to delivering social services based on the individual needs of families, making efficient use of available resources, and evaluating the outcomes of implemented initiatives.
One of the key outcomes of the international professional development programme was the development of practical initiatives aimed at applying the knowledge and experience gained to Uzbekistan's national context. In particular, plans include developing concepts for social projects tailored to Uzbekistan's specific conditions, as well as a practical roadmap for the development of regional social services and leadership for 2027–2030.
The internship provided young specialists with an opportunity not only to gain international experience but also to introduce new approaches into their professional activities, strengthen their knowledge and skills, and establish new partnerships.
Moving forward, the main priority will be to apply the knowledge acquired and international best practices in local practice, promote women's employment, strengthen family well-being, and improve the quality of social services provided to the population.
